Pricing Guide

Our Process and Pricing

Digitizing still photographs is our specialty. Every photo, slide, and negative is handled with care and scanned at high resolution, producing large 8-12 megapixel digital files that can be enlarged and printed up to poster size, regardless of the original print, negative, or slide size.

Whether you have a handful of treasured family photos or thousands of images to preserve, no project is too big or too small.

Here's how our process works:

  1. Drop off your collection of photos for scanning in our Highland Park, NJ location

  2. Once photos are scanned and uploaded to a temporary gallery, you choose which ones you want us to restore, and let us know. You can also pick up your original photos from us.

  3. We will go through the photos and give you a price estimate for your approval

  4. You can add or subtract photos to be restored. You may decide to make changes based on your budget; we can give you a revised estimate.

  5. Once we've agreed on which photos to restore, we'll get to work. (We'll also let you know how long it will take).

Photo Restoration Pricing

Every photograph is unique, and so is every restoration project. The cost of restoration depends on the amount of time and care required to accurately repair and preserve your image while maintaining its original character and detail.

Our estimates for restoration work are based on a rate of $100 per hour, with most projects falling into the sample price ranges below. We always give a free estimate before starting work on your project.

What Affects Restoration Pricing?

Several factors determine the complexity of a restoration, including:

  • Whether facial features are partially or completely damaged

  • The severity of scratches, stains, fading, mildew, water, or fire damage

  • Whether parts of the image are missing and need to be digitally rebuilt

  • Color correction and accuracy requirements

  • Information provided for colorization, such as eye color, hair color, or clothing details
